Truth Be Told
Truth be told, I am very tempted to go back and redraw the early issues of the Great Cyclopian. Working with the AI cartoons has really shown me how sloppy my ‘style’ was. Sketchy lines, messy coloring… I start to feel badly that I sell these books…

But then I start to remember the ultimate goal was never to produce the greatest comics ever made, but instead, it was to produce the greatest comics I was able to. The Great Cyclopian series really is like working a time line of my development as a comic book creator. There are chunks of time missing in the timeline, but I can see the progressions issue by issue.

Those chunks of missing time would include two years of our Hero Shack titled comic I created before making the Great Cyclopian the star of his own title. Somewhere in the Great Cyclopian run (though Im not sure where in timeline at the time of this writing) I did a few other projects. There was the Last of the Reapers graphic novel, the Cluster Fudge mini-series, the Mangia YoShoKan mini-series, the Trolls eXposed graphic novel and the Darkness Dies graphic novel I drew over the last year.

And looking at the artwork that was in GC 1 and looking at what’s coming up in issue GC 10 is nothing short of a stunning difference. I’ll talk it over with Diana, but I don’t think I will redraw the older issues at this point. I have to keep on keeping on – creating for the future.
